A 303-style analog bassline and acid sequencer. Program patterns on a piano-roll grid, generate acid lines in a tap and play them on the built-in 303-style analog model with Devil Fish-style controls. With a Behringer TD-3 connected (every color variant: TD-3-BK, RD, SR, AM, BU, WH…), TDminator also edits its patterns and sends them to the hardware.

Version 2.0 adds the bassline, MIDI pattern switching and a 64-pattern factory bank. Patterns can be edited while they play: notes, accents and slides change on the next pass.

303 bassline

Built-in 303-style analog model with Devil Fish-style controls and its own hardware-style panel. Patterns play with or without a TD-3 connected.
Cutoff, Resonance, Envelope, Decay, Accent, Tune, Wave and Volume, plus the Devil Fish extras: Accent Decay, Normal Decay, Soft Attack, Slide Time, Filter FM, Filter Tracking, Sweep Speed, Sub Osc, Overdrive and Muffler.

Pattern editor

Single-octave piano-roll grid with a piano-key pitch column and octave rows, so the whole pattern fits on screen with no scrolling.
Note names (C3, G3…) on every note, with accents and slides shown in their own colors.
Accent and Slide rows aligned with the 16 steps. Ties are kept on load and Send, and the sequencer holds tied steps.
Numbered step header with 4-step group dividers and a playhead that follows the sequencer. On iPhone, a 303 / SEQ button switches between the bassline panel and the grid.

Keyboard entry

Tracker-style two-row computer keyboard note entry (ZXCV and QWER rows), with , and . to shift the base octave across the three octave rows.
Left/Right move the cursor, Up/Down shift the note, Shift+Up/Down transposes the whole pattern. 1 toggles accent and the key left of Z toggles slide, both advancing the cursor as you type.

Transport

Play, Tap tempo, BPM and Steps, which you can tap, drag or scroll to set. Step count snaps to 2/4/6/8/12/16.
Monitor menu to play the internal bassline, the TD-3, both, or mute, plus Group (I/II/III/IV) and Section (A/B) selectors.

Acid generator

RANDOM generates scale-locked 303-style acid lines with acid scales, octave hops, groove density, beat accents and glides.

Pattern switching

Program Change 0-63 selects one of the 64 slots, numbered like the TD-3.
Notes from C1 upward on MIDI channel 16 also select slots, so a DAW clip can trigger patterns. While playing, the switch waits for the current pattern to finish.
Factory bank of 64 acid patterns ready to play. Imported banks can be browsed without a TD-3 connected.

TD-3 hardware

Full TD-3 MIDI SysEx control for every TD-3 color edition, which share the same pattern protocol.
Auto-reconnect: connects the moment a TD-3 appears and goes offline when unplugged, with live MIDI port detection.
Backup (device to file) and Send (file to device), so nothing is overwritten without asking.

Studio

Synthtribe .sqs bank import and export, plus MIDI (.mid) export for a single pattern or the whole bank as one file per pattern.
AUv3 plugin and standalone app for AUM, GarageBand, Cubasis, Logic and other AUv3 hosts. Load it as an instrument to hear the bassline, or as a MIDI effect to drive the TD-3 or another synth. Tempo and transport follow the host.
Fully resizable editor that scales to fit iPhone, iPad and Mac.
