I just purchased Discovery Pro R5, and I must say that this is an awesome piece of work. I gave the demo a good, hard test before buying.

One thing I noticed. When I first instantiate the plug in Reaper, the synth will stutter (audio is choppy, and the preset bar that Reaper provides flickers) until I reload the preset. I thought this was just a limitation of the demo, but the full version does it as well.

I haven't tried it in any other host yet, so it could be a Reaper issue. However, I thought I would post and get other thoughts on the subject.

Certainly not a show stopper, just somewhat annoying.

Thanks for the detailed and good feedback.

A report has been sent.

Hope you keep enjoying Discovery!

Best regards,
George.

I just tested with Energy XT, the bug does not appear in this sequencer, I am going to open a thread at the Reaper forum.

Reaper forum thread.

The workaround is to load EXT2 VSTi environment on the track, and then load Discovery Pro into that environment.

This has been confirmed by another Reaper user.

I opened up a bug thread here.

http://forum.cockos.com/project.php?issueid=2035

Discussion should occur on the first thread I posted, the thread I list in this post is for the developers to provide feedback.

Outstanding George, if you take a look at that second thread at the Reaper forum, the Reaper developers have located the cause. Perhaps that might help you out a wee bit.

This is an outstanding synth, and this is but a tiny hiccup in the landscape of a terrific product.
